Desk Copies :
A desk copy is generally given for every 20 books adopted for a course. An examination copy for review before adopting it for a course may also be requested from publishers. Publishers prefer desk copy requests to be submitted to them directly by professors on departmental letterhead. Some publishers may not honor bookstore requests for desk copies and others will send single copies when multiple copies have been requested.

DESK COPY: A book furnished free from the publisher for an instructor’s use when copies of that book have been ordered for use in a specific course. A complimentary copy previously sent should be considered a desk copy upon adoption.

EXAM COPY: A book sent to an instructor from the publisher for consideration for adoption. The book is usually accompanied by or followed by an invoice or bill seeking payment or return of the book within a specific period of time.

If you need additional information, or have other questions on obtaining a desk copy for your course, please contact the Textbook Department Office at 336-758-4154, or send us an email at williawl@wfu.edu

Please note: All textbooks listed are subject to change.

The Textbook Store is not responsible for books purchased from other sources. Also, all prices are subject to change. The return of unsold course materials to publishers and wholesalers will begin February 23, 2011. Be sure to make your purchases before then. Click here to create your booklist.
